What's inside

3 of the 10 diagnostic questions, with expert commentary.

1

Can you identify work that's manual, repetitive, and rule-based?

The best automation projects start with "my team spends X hours a week on this", not "we should use AI." If you can point to a specific workflow bottleneck, that's your starting point. If you can't, AI is a solution looking for a problem.

2

Can you put a dollar figure on the problem?

This is the ROI question. "It's slow" isn't a business case. If three people spend 10 hours/week on manual data entry at $40/hour, that's $62K/year, and a $20K automation project pays for itself in four months.

3

Is your data structured enough for AI to work with?

AI doesn't need perfect data, but it needs consistent data. Even messy sources (emails, PDFs, chat logs) can be gold with the right extraction pipeline. But if the same field has five different formats across your systems, that's step zero, not step two.
